Billing and credits

Monthly or yearly plans, one-off credits, VAT, your billing details and your invoices.

You pay per page, and you pay for sent emails. Contacts, lists, newsletters and templates are unlimited.

One sent email is one recipient. A newsletter to 300 people therefore costs 300 from your allowance. Test mails count too.

Everything about it is under Billing, in two tabs: Plan and credits and Invoices and details. Only the owner of the page can open them.

Monthly allowance and credit balance

There are two pots, and they behave differently:

Both are shown at the top of Plan and credits and on your dashboard.

Plans

All prices exclude VAT.

Plan Per month Per year Emails per month
Free €0 €0 50
Starter €9 €90 1,000
Plus €19 €190 2,500
Pro €29 €290 5,000
Max €49 €490 15,000

With a yearly plan you still get your emails per month: the monthly allowance starts again every month.

Monthly or yearly

The switch above the plans picks Monthly or Yearly. A year costs ten months, so paying per year saves you two months. Under every price you also see what you pay including VAT.

Choosing a plan

  1. Fill in your billing details first (see below). Without them you cannot pay.
  2. Open Billing, tab Plan and credits.
  3. Pick Monthly or Yearly.
  4. Press Choose under the plan you want. You see the amount including VAT and that the plan renews on its own. Tick that you agree and press Continue to payment.
  5. You go to the checkout page of Mollie, our payment provider. It shows which payment methods are available, such as iDEAL or a credit card.

After that you come back to ListMailing. Your plan starts as soon as the payment comes through, usually within a minute. With the first payment you allow the following periods to be collected automatically, so you do not have to think about it again.

Switching

Switch with the button under another plan. You first see what it costs and when it starts.

Cancelling

Press Cancel subscription, or Go back to free under Free. Nothing is collected after that and nothing is deleted. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, then you continue on Free.

Changed your mind? Resume puts the subscription back while that period is still running. You do not pay again.

When a payment fails

If an automatic collection does not go through, you get an email about it and the screen says so too. You keep your plan for seven more days after the end of the paid period. Pay again within that time and everything carries on. After that you fall back to the free monthly allowance. Nothing is deleted.

Credits

One-off bundles, for when your monthly allowance runs out or you only send now and then. Prices exclude VAT.

Credits Price
200 €5
500 €10
1,000 €18
2,500 €35
5,000 €60
10,000 €100

Press Buy next to a bundle. You see the total including VAT, tick that you agree and pay on the checkout page. The credits are added as soon as the payment comes through.

Credits never expire. They are only used once your monthly allowance runs out. Credits come with an invoice too.

VAT

Prices are shown without VAT. How much VAT you pay depends on where you are:

Where you are VAT
The Netherlands 21%
The EU, a business with a confirmed VAT number no VAT, reverse charged to you
The EU, without a confirmed VAT number 21%
Outside the EU no VAT

If you are a business elsewhere in the EU, fill in your VAT number. It is checked with the European VIES service. Once it is confirmed the VAT is reverse charged to you, and you see the name and address the EU has registered under that number. While it is not confirmed, we charge VAT for now. That service is often briefly unavailable: save your details again later and it is checked once more.

Billing details

Before you can pay, fill in your billing details under Billing, tab Invoices and details: a company or a name (one of the two is enough), the address, the postcode, the city and the country, and your VAT number if you have one.

The postcode is checked against the way the chosen country writes them. Countries without postcodes are not asked for one. Under the form you see which VAT goes on your invoices.

Invoices

Every payment comes with an invoice. You find them under Invoices and details, with number, date, description and amount including VAT. PDF downloads the invoice.

The number follows shortly after the payment. Until then it says Being issued and there is nothing to download yet. An invoice is fixed the moment it is made: if you change your address later, that only applies to the invoices after it.

If money goes back, for example because you had a collection reversed at your bank, a credit note with a negative amount appears. Invoices are kept for seven years, because the tax office asks for that.

Credit history

Below the invoices you see every credit bundle you bought or received as a gift, with its status: paid, waiting for payment, did not go through, or reversed.

When your allowance runs out

You can no longer send. The app tells you in advance, while preparing a send, with the number of recipients and the number of emails left. Your newsletter stays where it is: buy credits or move to a bigger plan and send afterwards. More about sending in Sending a newsletter.
